Where everybody is somebody.
We embrace family values, welcoming children from 42 Kenyan tribes, including those with disabilities, those in extreme poverty, and those who feel forgotten.
Gabriel Learning Centre is a place of learning and a place to feel at home.
Ours is a place where everybody is somebody.

Nakuru town is located 160km northwest of Nairobi and is the fourth largest urban centre in Kenya after Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu. It is best known for Lake Nakuru, where thousands upon thousands of pink flamingos gather along the water. It is a genuinely beautiful place.
Travelling from Nairobi takes approximately four hours, depending on city traffic. The roads are in good condition, however local driving can be an experience, so our volunteers are always driven between the airport, their accommodation and Gabriel's as safety of our guests is paramount.
Along the way you'll see zebra, the occasional giraffe, baboons, and people going about their day. Nakuru is growing fast, with new buildings and supermarkets going up all the time. But that growth stops at the edge of the slums that ring the town, where there is almost no infrastructure at all. This is where our children live.
